90 teams to see action in Panaghiusa Football Cup in Davao school

DAVAO CITY, Jan. 15 — At least 90 teams will be seeing action in the Panaghiusa Football Cup 7 A-side tournament slated January 17 and 18 at the Ateneo de Davao University Matina field here.

"The teams are only limited since that is the only maximum number of teams we can have for our playing field," said technical commissioner Albert Ryan Lim of the Davao Football Association.

The categories are the mixed 6 under, 8 under and 10 under, boys 12 under, boys 14 under, girls 14 under, boys 16 under and girls 16 under.

Among the DC teams listed are the host Ateneo, Southpoint Academy, St. John Paul College of Davao, Philippine Women's College, Assumption College of Davao, Philippine College of Technology, Rizal Memorial Colleges, Holy Cross of Davao College Mintal, Davao City National High School, Emar College, Mintal Comprehensive High School, Crocs Football Club, Black Knights FC and Columbia FC Juniors.

Also invited to join the 8-division league are squads from the Real Digos City, Koronadal City, Hagonoy and Montevista.

Invited to opening ceremony on Saturday at 8 a.m. are City Sports Development Division OIC Butch Ramirez, re-elected DFA president Edward "Chaya" Lam and general-secretary Erwin Protacio and AdDU Athletics Director Noli Ayo. (PNA)
