Myanmar athletes gear up for 28th SEA Games

YANGON, Dec. 3 — Myanmar athletes are gearing up to compete in the upcoming 28th Southeast Asian Games to be hosted by Singapore from June 5-16 next year, according to Myanmar Track and Field Federation on Wednesday.

Altogether, 11 Chinese coaches and 2 Thai coaches are giving intensive training to more than 110 selected athletes at present.

The final selection will be made in the third week of 2015.

The Myanmar athletic squad will take part in two warmup competitions to be held in Singapore in February and Thailand in April.

Last year, hosts Myanmar grabbed two gold, four silver and seven bronze medals at the 27th SEA Games. (PNA/Xinhua)
