Iran, Turkey have great capacity for tourist exchanges

OROUMEYEH, Nov. 24 — Head of Executive Board of Tourism Council of Turkey's Black Sea region said Iran and Turkey have many cultural commonalities which facilitate tourists exchanges.

Swat Gourkok made the remarks during his visit to Oroumeyeh Museum on Sunday.

He said that news dissemination and advertisement are important elements to absorb tourists.

Referring to role of education in the field of tourism, he said Turkey is ready to hold joint training workshops for hotel management with Iran.

He added that tourism industry depends on good hospitality, so if services are appropriate, satisfaction of tourists and growth of tourism will be achieved.

Deputy head of provincial Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, for his part, said that West Azerbaijan Province has more than 1,450 historical sites with national registration and two world registered sites.

Hussein Emami said expansion of cooperation between the two countries is important.

Expounding on potentials and tourism infra-structures and support of officials for investors, the provincial official called for participation and investment of Turkish citizens in construction of hotels, recreational complexes and tourist installations. (PNA/IRNA)
