141103194419The Social Security System (SSS) awarded three financial institutions the ìBalikat ng Bayanî distinction for their prompt delivery of benefits to SSS members during the awarding ceremonies held on September 25 at the SSS main office in Quezon City. Representatives from BPI Family Savings Bank, Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. and One Network Bank, Inc. received special Balikat ng Bayan plaques from Social Security Commissioner Daniel Edralin (left), SSS president and Chief Executive Officer Emilio de Quiros, Jr (2nd from left), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor and Guest of Honor Amando Tetangco, Jr (2nd from right), and SSS Chief Legal Counsel Voltaire Agas (right). The three banks emerged as winners for the Best Paying Commercial Bank, Best Paying Thrift Bank, and Best Paying Rural Bank categories, respectively. 141103194039Social Security System (SSS) President and Chief Executive Officer Emilio de Quiros, Jr. (seated row, middle) led the 20 regional Communication Officers in their Pledge of Commitment to strengthen the ties with local media during the two- day Media Planning Workshop and Skills Training for SSS Regional Communication Officers on October 16-17, 2014 at the Torre Venezia Suites, Quezon City. The workshop trained the SSS Communication Officers on how to handle press conferences, appropriate ways on how to answer radio and tv interviews, what strategies to use to avoid crisis communication and how to deal with journalists.
