Catalbas said that although the travel ban caused cancellations by Chinese group tours during the first two weeks, these were taken over by the other foreign tourists like Koreans, Taiwanese, Russians, Singaporeans, Malaysians and even Chinese.

”Boracay’s market is varied. Seventy-five percent of tourists arrivals are domestic with only 25 percent foreign market. Predominantly, the island has Filipino visitors and other nationalities not only Chinese,” the DOT official contended.
