MANILA, Oct. 14 — Listed canned tuna maker Century Pacific Food Inc. (CNPF) on Tuesday got the green light to create a new warehousing unit.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, CNPF said it received the Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approving the incorporation of Allforward Warehousing, Inc (AWI).

Its wholly-owned subsidiary, AWI, was formed to engage in the business of operating warehouse facilities.

However, the SEC’s certificate does not authorize AWI to undertake business activities requiring a secondary license from the Commission such as broker or dealer in securities, government securities eligible dealer and investment adviser of an investment company. (PNA)
