MANILA, Apr. 13 (PNA) — The unblemished record of Timothy Bradley is now tainted after eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao regain his Welterweight Championship after three judges saw the fight all for the Philippine champ.

With this, top leaders of the country immediately send their congratulations to Pacquiao who has proven that he is still the man to beat in this division.

Vice President Jejomar Binay said that Pacquiao “once again has showcased the Filipino's heart and determination to overcome challenges.”

“Manny will always be the people's champion. He inspires all of us to push ourselves to greater heights, to always believe in ourselves and in the Almighty, and see the limitless possibilities that await us. His victory over Timothy Bradley is certainly a victory to be cherished by all Filipinos,” Binay said after Pacquiao had shown to the world that he is not old to fight.

Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr., said that the entire nation celebrates the victory of our colleague from Sarangani, Manny Pacquiao over Timothy Bradley of the United States, regaining his title as the World Boxing Organization’s Welterweight Champion of the World via unanimous decision.

“Manny [Pacquiao] has once again shown us that focusing on discipline and determination makes no battle insurmountable. At 35, his victory over a much younger Bradley at 30 — who was said to have been even better trained now than in their previous fight — has shown the world that he continues to be the pound-for-pound King of Boxing,” Belmonte said in a statement.

“We thank Manny not only for again bringing pride to our nation but more so for continuing to be an awesome inspiration and source of hope for the Filipino youth,” he concluded. (PNA)
