MANILA, April 13 (PNA) — Malacanang on Saturday reminded the public to take extra caution as lawbreakers who might enter their houses while they are away during the Lenten Season.

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr., in an interview on state-run dZRB Radyo ng Bayan, gave the warning particularly to those leaving the city.

(“On the advent of Lenten Season, the government reminds our citizens to take extra caution, especially those going out of town to commemorate Easter,” Coloma said in Filipino.)

He further said that concerned agencies including the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) are prepared to ensure safe and secure travel of our people.

(“Lent is a time of penance and reflection for believers,” Coloma said. “May then we have increased its strength and determination to achieve our aspirations for a serene future.”) (PNA)
