7th Infantry Division conducts blood-letting activity with 'JANE'

MANILA, Jan. 23 — In line with its community development efforts, the 7th Infantry Division together with the "Japan Association of Novo Ecijanos" (JANE) conducted a blood-letting activity which resulted in the collection of 72 bags or 32,400 cc of fresh blood.

In a report forwarded by 7th Infantry Division spokesman Capt. Mark Anthony Ruelos on Thursday, the activity was spearheaded unit commander Major Gen. Hernando DCA Iriberri and "JANE" president Mari "Mayang" Bernabe-Nihei.

The blood-letting was held at the "Kaugnay Officers Clubhouse" in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija.

Ruelos said the event was made possible with the support and cooperation of the Central Luzon Media Association; Kaugnay Media Defense Corps; Order of the Amaranth, District V, Central Luzon; Japan Nueva Ecija Foundation; Pacific Guarantee Tax Refund of NaojiKataoka, Japan; NPO and Pinoy Banzai TV Japan; Golden Beans and Grains Multi-Purpose Cooperative;Cabanatuan City Bankers Club; Rotary Club of Cabanatuan City; and Philippine Red Cross – Nueva Ecija Chapter.

The blood was successfully extracted from 90 donors coming from the media, non-government organizations, members of the 7th Infantry Division, and candidate soldier trainees. (PNA)
