Bad weather continues to ground domestic flights

MANILA, Jan. 13 — At least two domestic flights were cancelled early Monday as inclement weather continues to prevail over the eastern portions of the country.

The airport’s Media Affairs Division said Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) called off its flights Manila-Ozamiz-Manila as the low pressure area spotted east of General Santos City brings moderate to heavy rains in the area.

Flight 5J-781 Manila to Ozamiz was scheduled to depart at 6:05 am, and its return flight 5J-782 was expected to arrive at 9:35 a.m.

A total of 24 domestic flights were cancelled Sunday, while 42 were grounded last Saturday due to heavy rains. (PNA)
