6 distressed OFWs home from Jordan

MANILA, Nov. 29 — Six troubled overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) arrived home from Jordan late Thursday night thru the assistance of the Philippine government.

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said the six OFWs arrived via Etihad Airways flight EY-428 which came from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The plane touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 at 10:40 p.m.

OWWA said the OFWs were among the hundreds of Filipino workers who encountered problems while working abroad and have availed of the government’s repatriation program to come back home.(PNA)
