Globe restores cellular service in remote Biliran town; generates P 4 million for ‘Yolanda’ victims

MANILA, Nov. 22 — Globe Telecom said it has restored its cellular services in a remote town in Biliran which was one of the many towns in the Visayas region badly affected by typhoon “Yolanda”.

As of late Thursday, Globe said its cellular services in Cabucgayan town has been fully operational after necessary works have been done.

Meanwhile, Globe thanked everyone who extended help to our countrymen in areas affected by typhoon Yolanda using their Globe Rewards points.

“As of November 18, we have collected Php 4,463,585 worth of Globe Rewards donations. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Bangon Pinoy Program through the Ayala Foundation,” Globe said.

Furthermore, Globe said it now accepts donations of used working cellular phones to be distributed to people affected by “Yolanda.”
