27-man Japanese medical team arrives for humanitarian mission in the Visayas

MANILA, Nov. 20 — A 27-man medical team from Japan arrived in the country Wednesday for a humanitarian mission in typhoon-ravaged parts of the Visayas region.

The team arrived via Japan Airlines flight 8837 which landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 at 1:45 pm. The group immediately board a bus in heading for their hotel before going to the Visayas region on Thursday.

Last Monday, a group of Japanese self-defense volunteers also arrived in Manila on board their C-130 plane and ferried relief goods to affected areas in Iloilo. (PNA)
