Storm surge affects 1,138 people in Iloilo, Capiz

MANILA, Nov. 8 — The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Friday reported that at least 220 families or 1,138 people were affected after a storm surge occurred in parts of Iloilo and Capiz provinces.

It said that as of 1 p.m. Thursday, 68 houses were destroyed and 122 were damaged.

The affected areas are the towns of Oton, Pavia, San Miguel and Barotac Nuevo.

Also affected were parts of President Roxas and Pilar in Capiz province. (PNA)
