PHL Red Cross provides hot meals for over 32-K individuals so far

MANILA, Sept. 17 — A total of 32,658 individuals as of Tuesday, have been provided with hot meals with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) as the organization has committed to serve 10,000 individuals daily.

According to the PRC official Twitter account, they have also dispensed a total of 118 units of blood and three ambulances which were used to transport wounded patients.

The organization has also provided guidance and counseling for about 3,337 persons as well as psycho-social support Program (PSP) for 8,394 persons.

Two water bladders (10,00 and 5,000L) were meanwhile installed at Joaquin F. Enriquez Memorial Stadium which served approximately 5,000 families.

While one (10,000L) water bladder installed in RT Lim to provide water supply to the indigenous internally displaced.

On the other hand, the PRC stationed one mobile blood bank at the satellite hospital established by Dept. of Health at Western Mindanao State University as well as a dispensary (Swiss tent) in JFEMSC (Grandstand) for additional space for Health Station.

The PRC also continuous to reach out to the public to help families affected by the Zamboanga standoff by sending in donations by texting an amount of more or less )P25 to RED AMOUNT to 2899 (Globe) or 4143 (Smart). (PNA)
