P2M counterfeit money seized in Cebu raid

MANILA, July 30 — Law enforcement operatives have confiscated P2 million in fake money and arrested the its suspected printer following a buy-bust operation in Cebu City Monday night.

Radio reports identified the suspect as Richard Uy.

Uy's fake money was found at his house in Univille District, Cebu.

Also seized from Uy were several gadgets he uses in his illicit trade, including a computer and a scanner.

An initial record check showed Uy had been arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation allegedly for making counterfeit money.

Uy is now detained at the Cebu City Police Office. (PNA)
