MANILA, June 19 — The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office Wednesday announced the re-scheduling of PVAO pensioners for the month of June. Retired Lt. Gen. Ernesto G. Carolina, PVAO administrator, said the rescheduling of pension is only temporary. Carolina explained that the temporary rescheduling “is due to the delayed issuance of the Notice of Cash Allocation for the month of June 2013 by the Department of Budget and Management.” The NCA is the instrument that authorizes the transfer of cash for PVAO to be able to remit pensions to the authorized pension servicing banks/Armed Forces of the Philippines financial institutions. Carolina said pensioners who withdraw their monthly pension at the Development Bank of the Philippines and Philippine Veterans Bank every 20th of the month will instead get their pension on June 25. Pensioners who receive their pension every 25th of the month through Asia United Bank, Landbank of the Philippines, Maybank Philippines, Inc. and United Coconut Planters Bank will receive their pension on June 28, Carolina said. Carolina also said that PVAO pensioners using the Armed and Police Savings and Loan Association will get their monthly pension beginning on the 17th of the month will also be moved temporarily on June 25 For further information pensioners may call the PVAO Finance Division at (02) 7094192.
