MANILA, May 25 — The Philippine Air Force 1st Air Division, based in Clark Air Base, Pampanga, has opened its doors and feted 300 children Saturday morning.

Beneficiaries are orphans from Duyan ni Maria Children’s Home and PAF dependents.

The activity was done at the Lockheed Hangar, Air Force City.

Brig. Gen. Julius Caesar Guillermo, 1st Air Division deputy commander, said the event is part of the PAF's 66th pre-anniversary activities which will culminate this July 1, the air service's foundation day.

"The PAF identified less fortunate kids within the community and let them feel the warmth and care of their Air Force for a day," PAF spokesperson Col Miguel Ernesto Okol said.

He added this is one one way of honoring the future of our nation, the youth.

“The PAF recognizes that these children, or at least some of them, will inherit the proud tradition of serving the country perhaps through the Air Force,” he added. (PNA)
