MANILA, May 24 — The father and son, mayor and vice mayor of Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija on Friday vehemently denied they allegedly repeatedly raped a woman, who was hidden in the name of "Mutya".

Pantabangan Mayor Romeo Borja, Sr. and Vice Mayor Romeo Borja, Jr. both attended Friday afternoon a hearing at the Dept. of Justice to personally subscribe to their respective counter-affidavit.

In a two-page counter-affidavit, Borja, Sr. claimed that the victim and her mother were merely "politically motivated" because they filed the complaint before the May 13, 2013 mid-term elections.

In a separate counter-affidavit, Borja, Jr. argued the statements of the victim in her complaint-affidavit are all lies.

He denied that he brought Mutya to a motel, poked a gun at her and raped her.

The respondent father and son also confirmed that they both lost in the recently concluded elections. (PNA)
