MANILA, May 15 — Actor-turned-politician Aga Muhlach asked the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to declare failure of elections in several areas in Camarines Sur.

In a five-page petition, Ariel Muhlach, the actor’s real name urged the poll body to set aside precinct results and declare a failure of elections because of corrupted compact flash (CF) cards of the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines.

The petitioner cited the report at a poll precinct in Tigaon, Camarines Sur, where some 668 casted votes were not counted due to corrupted CF card.

Muhlach is running in the congressional seat to represent the fourth district of the said province.

“There were also some PCOS machines which were left unguarded compromising the sanctity and authenticity of votes,” the petition added.

Meanwhile, the poll body was also asked by two local candidates in Maguindanao to declare failure of elections in the said province due to incidents of election-related violence in the some areas.

The areas include Sultan Barongis, Odin Sinsuat, and Buluan.

Petitioners Ali Midtimbang and Hadji Tucad Mestura are running in the local positions in the said province. (PNA)
