(Quezon City) Six QC congressmen bets proclaimed

MANILA, May 14 — The six winning congressmen in Quezon City were proclaimed on Tuesday afternoon by QC Board of Canvassers headed by Atty. Jovencio G. Balanquit, QC’s Election Officer IV.

Those proclaimed were Francisco Calalay Jr. of the 1st District, Winston Castelo of the 2nd District, Jorge John Banal of the 3rd District, House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. of the 4th District, Alfred Vargas of the 5th District and Jose Christopher “Kit” Belmonte of the 6th District.

Calalay garnered 62,710 votes to beat his two opponents Rita Crisologo (57,642) and Jamile Gary (2,132).

Castelo, garnered 81,645 votes, defeated former Congressman Ismael “Chuck” Mathay III who had 46,521.

Banal, amassed 49,731 votes that defeated his opponent Matias Defensor who had 39,513 votes.

Belmonte, garnered 96,682 votes that remarkably defeated his opponent Albert Hans Palacios 9,762 votes.

Vargas, amassed 67,753 votes that amazingly defeated former Congresswoman Mary Ann L. Susano (26,267), former Congressman Dante V. Liban (11,053) and Isagani H. Oro (4,724).

Kit Belmonte is unopposed with 77,982 votes.

All of these Congressmen proclaimed are under the Liberal Party Team.(PNA)
