MANILA, May 14 — Earlier announcing the likelihood of stopping the tally of election returns (ERs), the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) as of 7:34 pm, Tuesday announced that they will be continuing its unofficial tally.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chair, Sixto Brilliantes Jr. himself allowed the PPCRV to continue the tally count after earlier being told to stop once the Comelec issues an order that the PPCRV cease releasing information.

Henrietta de Villa, PPCRV Chairperson said that Brilliantes thought of ceasing operations to avoid confusion when Comelec starts canvassing.

The poll watchdog has continued to release tallies of the election returns they receive from the Comelec’s transparency server simultaneously with the Comelec’s start of canvassing at 10 a.m.

At present, the PPCRV tally shows that former MTRCB chief Grace Poe-Llamanzares is still number one on their tally followed by Senator Loren Legarda.

The PPCRV has so far released data from 53,818 precincts out of a total of 78,166.(PNA)
