(Iloilo) Reelectionist Rep. Tupas proclaimed

ILOILO CITY, May 14 — Reelectionist congressman Niel Tupas, Jr. has been proclaimed past 5 p.m. Tuesday by the Iloilo Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC).

Tupas, who is now on his third term as congressman and as a Liberal Party candidate, said that he would continue his scholarship programs and financial assistance being given to people in crisis situations.

He said that road improvements would also be continued in his district as well as other development programs through the help of President Benigno Aquino III.

Tupas is the first congressional candidate to be declared by the PBOC chaired by Atty. Jessie Suarez, Commission on Elections (Comelec) Iloilo Provincial Supervisor.

The province of Iloilo has five districts and other winning congressional candidates will also be proclaimed either Tuesday night or Wednesday. (PNA)
