BACOLOD CITY, May 13 — Some clustered precincts in this city were forced to extend the voting period to accommodate hundreds of voters still queuing to cast their voters.

A total of 135 voters have not yet voted in Andres Bonifacio Elementary School 1 here, 10 minutes before the 7:00 p.m. cut-off time of the Commission on Elections.

Principal Jose Donnie Sajonia said these voters were residents of Barangay 6, Bacolod City and were assigned in Clustered Precincts 0053A, 0053B, 0054A, 0055A and 0056A.

Sajonia said they have to extend the voting period until all the voters within the 30-meter radius of the polling center were accommodated.

Andres Bonifacio Elementary School 1 has 13 clustered precincts with a total of 8,845 voters.

Meanwhile, the Board of Canvassers headed by Bacolod City Election Officer Milagros Salud Villanueva is now preparing for the canvassing in New Government Center. (PNA)
