MANILA, May 8 – Despite black propaganda and demolition job hurled against her, reelectionist Sen. Loren Legarda topped anew the latest Social Weather Station survey which was dominated again by the ruling coalition Team PNoy.

The final SWS survey before the May 13 midterm polls was conducted from May 2-3, the same time when a certain Louis Biraogo came out with press release exposing an alleged Legarda’s posh New York City condominium unit which was allegedly misdeclared in her statement of assets, liabilities and networth (SALN).

Legarda still gained the highest 57 percent on voter preferences or seven percent higher as compared to second running and fellow reelectionist Alan Cayetano who is reportedly behind the New York property expose.

Legarda said she is ever grateful that despite the black propaganda against her, she remains number one in surveys and in the hearts of the people.

”Thank God and the people who continued to trust and support me. The result of this latest survey gives me renewed strength and inspiration. This goes to show that Filipinos will not be swayed by the dirty tactics by some to tarnish the good name and track record I have worked hard on,” she stressed.

“I hope that on Election Day the Filipino electorate will look into our track record, what we have done and what we plan to do,” she added.

The latest SWS survey showed nine Team PNoy senatorial candidates and three from the opposition United Nationalist Alliance dominating the so-called Magic 12.

Aside from Legarda and Cayetano, other Team PNoy in the top 12 include Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero and UNA’s Nancy Binay who are statistically tied in third and fourth spot with 48 percent each followed by Grace Poe with 45 percent in fifth spot.

UNA’s JV Ejercito is in sixth place with 44 percent followed by Cynthia Villar with similar percentage in seventh spot while Aquilino Pimentel III is in eighth with 43 per cent and Bam Aquino in ninth place with 41 percent.

Edgardo ‘Sonny’ Angara and Antonio Trillanes IV are statistically tied in 10th and 11th places with identical 38 percent while UNA’s reelectionist Gregorio Honasan II completed the magic 12 with 37 percent. (PNA)
