Manila, April 29 — Crystal Jade Culinary Concept Holdings has opened its first fine dining branch in the country, the Crystal Jade Dining Inn at the Bonifacio Global City.

The restaurant aims to answer the demand of food lovers for an authentic Cantonese cuisine with a modern twist looking for a memorable and exciting dining experience.

“We envision Crystal Jade Dining Inn to be a restaurant that serves authentic Cantonese cuisine set in a classy ambience with an impressive quality of service,” Cherry Chu-Lo, Crystal Jade Operations Vice President in the Philippines, said.

Crystal Jade Dining Inn offers a delectable menu ranging from the well-loved dimsum, roasted and marinated dishes, double-boiled soup choices, live and dried seafood, Cantonese dishes, healthy selection and desserts.

Among the restaurant’s bestsellers include crispy duck sandwich, double-broiled crab claw soup with superior mushroom in fresh coconut, and steamed chicken with dried mushroom, cordycep and Chinese sausage. Some of their dessert combinations include chilled avocado pudding and pomelo, and glutinous rice dumpling with taro.

Lo said that the restaurant aims to market to the upscale crowd which includes families, business executives, and expatriates residing along the Bonifacio Global City and neighboring areas.

Some of its foreign customers include Indians, Indonesians, and Koreans. Even Filipinos are enjoying the menu being served in the restaurant.

“We have been receiving positive feedback from our customers who are impressed with our food and the quality of our service. They said that they really had a memorable and enjoyable experience dining in our restaurant,” Lo added.

She also said that they hired five foreign chefs from Hong Kong to ensure that the quality of the food will be up to par with those of the Crystal Jade restaurants in other countries.

The restaurant had its grand opening last Friday, April 26 and its soft opening last March 2.

Lo narrated that Crystal Jade decided to put up a restaurant in April of last year for them to set apart from other Chinese restaurants offering genuine Cantonese cuisine in a “semi-fine dining” atmosphere. They settled to locate it at the Bonifacio High Street, because they believe it is a suitable place that could accommodate more customers. The place has a total seating capacity of 180.

She also said that Crystal Jade is considering expanding its branches all over the country, in particular setting up one in Makati City as its priority, though no timetable yet has been given.

The Crystal Jade has another branch along Greenhills Shopping Center, the Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao, a casual dining restaurant that serves Shanghai cuisine.
