LUCBAN, Quezon, April 29 — President Benigno Aquino III on Monday endorsed the tandem of Rep. Irvin Alcala for governor and Sam Nantes for vice governor in Quezon province who will continue the fight for the implementation of good governance.

To continue the reforms in the country relies in your vote)," he said.

President Aquino cited the various achievements the administration has accomplished in just more than two years in office, such as the additional classrooms and the lightingof more barangays (villages) all overthe country.

Dito lang nga po sa Quezon, may halos 1,700 silid aralan na tayong naipatayo (In just two years and 10 months, the former 66,800 shortfall in the classroom, will soon be gone. In Quezon alone, around 1,700 classrooms were built to enhance education in e province)," he said.

At the moment, there are more than 7,200 sitios that we have given electricity, and nearly 1,050 were from this province. TheDepartment of Energy and the National Electrification Administration are fast tracking their work to be able to light every barangay ine country)," he added.

In infrastructure, President Aquino cited the 8-kilometer Lucena Diversion Talao-Talao Port Road, the almost 60 kilometers extension of South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) that traverse from Batangas up to Lucena.

The President also mentioned the 16 farm-to-market roads projects in Calauag and Gumaca in Quezon, and in Tagkawayan to speed up the bringing of goods to the metropolis.

He also cited the more than P82 million fund to complete the 18 irrigation projects to improve production of farmers in the province.

If there are still those belonging to the previous administration who are saying nothing changed in the straight path that we're implementing, just point to them the project I mentioned. Only the blind who cannot see the positive results of our good governance)," the President said.

In terms of service to the people, there is no better than the next governor of Quezon — Irvin Alcala)," he noted.

President Aquino cited Alcala's accomplishments such as the "Pamilihan ng Sariaya", considered as the biggest market for agricultural products in Southern Luzon area.

He also mentioned Alcala's support to the 1,600 scholars of the province.

This only means — it is time for Irvin Alcala toecome governor of Quezon)," he stressed.

And, to help Irvin in making the province prosper, President Aquino appealed to Quezon voters to vote for Sam Nantes for vice governor.

Nantes is the son of former Governor Raffy Nantes.

Just like the senatorial slate of the entire Team PNoy, you can rely on us to take the straight, righteous path)," the President said.

The realization of our dreams will come from you. In the upcoming elections, I am confident you will not waste this opportunity to choose the leaders you deserve)," he added. (PNA)
