MANILA, April 26 — The touching story of Sandosenang Sapatos from the book of Dr. Luis Gatmaitan will be performed by the Tanghalang Pilipino this July.

Sandosenang Sapatos focuses on the story of a young disabled girl named Susie who went to dreamland demanding the Shoe Fairy a feet to fulfill the wish of her shoe maker father who is gravely ill to have a ballerina daughter.

But the shoes in her dream said that she can only talk to the Shoe Fairy every night before her birthday.

True to her word, the Shoe Fairy visits her every night before her birthday and gives her a pair of shoes and is able to dance with in dreamland.

When her father died, she finds herself in dreamland the night before her 12th birthday. As a ritual, the fairy gave her another pair of shoes but this time she refused to accept her gift.

The shoe fairy then said that the shoes do not came from her and she will meet the real source of the shoes on the eve of her 12th birthday.

On the eve of her birthday, her father appeared right in front of her and gave the shoes to Susie with the pair of feet she annually receives from the fairy, she was able to dance with her father for the first time.

Susie wakes up on her 12th birthday and tells her mother and older sister that her father visited her in her dream.

They told her that her father’s love for her is huge that even death cannot take it away from him.

As they clean Susie’s father’s room they discovered a huge box containing 12 pairs of shoes in different sizes and came with a note.
