DAVAO CITY, April 24 – Reelectionist Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero said all 14 towns and one city of Davao del Sur each received P500,000 for the construction or repair of their public markets coming from his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).

Escudero said that he is using wisely his PDAF and distributed it equally in different provinces in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

“I am very fair in using my PDAF because my constituency is the entire country and not one particular area,” he said in a press conference here Tuesday morning.

He said he also provided medical assistance for indigent patients at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) amounting to P12-million.

Another P8.5-million was also given to Davao City for the construction/repair/rehabilitation/renovation of public markets.

Escudero also chipped in P5-million to finish the construction of the P145-million University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) Gymnasium and Cultural Center that was only opened last August 2012.

The gym was the venue of the Pinoy Pride XIX featuring Filipino Rey “Boom-Boom” Bautista against Jose “Negro” Ramirez where the latter succeeded to dethrone Bautista of his World Boxing Organization international featherweight title. (PNA)
