MANILA, March 28 — Three vehicles collided with each other in Pampanga that caused traffic to slow down in some portion of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) on Thursday afternoon.

Dave Bautista of NLEX traffic control room said three vehicles categorized under “class A” figured in a “minor” rear-end collision along the Apalit area in Pampanga around 2 p.m. which caused traffic congestion.

But Bautista said the flow is now back to its normal speed after the involved vehicles were brought to shoulder lane around 2:25 p.m.

Bautista said the accident was caused by “tailing and insufficient braking distance.”

As of posting, traffic remains heavy at the Dau toll plaza.

Meanwhile, at South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Naja de Guzman said traffic is moving slow at the southbound lane of Calamba exit, and along the same lane along Ayala area.

A twitter post from the Toll Regulatory Board (@TRBSAFE) also said traffic is heavy at the southbound lane of Calamba toll plaza.

Bautista and De Guzman both said the tight traffic is mainly due to the increasing volume of motorists traversing both expressways. (PNA)
