3.9 quake jolts Northern Samar

MANILA, March 28 — A magnitude 3.9 earthquake jolted parts of Northern Samar Thursday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvocs).

In its bulletin, the agency said the quake occurred at 2:49 p.m. with its epicenter traced at 51 kms northeast of Palapag in Northern Samar.

Phivolcs said the tectonic quake had a depth of 10 kms.

The agency also said that no intensities nor damage were reported while aftershocks are not expected either. (PNA)
