BACOLOD CITY, March 19 — Barely four days after the still unresolved daylight robbery of F&C Panwnshop and Jewelry Store in downtown hre, crack investigators of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) faced another challenge.
This after Agencia Bacolod located along Locsin-Cuadra Sts. here was discovered to have been ransacked early this morning by still unidentified burglars.
It was about 8:20 am when the detailed security guard of the pawnshop discovered that the lock of the steel door has been forcibly destroyed by suspects who gained entry inside the pawnshop via a small hole which they created enough for a person to pass through.
Police believed the group availed the expertise of a small person or a minor enough to pass the small opening to penetrate inside the jewelry store.
But according to a thorough check made by the jewelry store owner, burglars failed to accomplish the planned robbery considering that all jewelry items are being kept inside the vault.
Agencia Bacolod is just located a block away from the F & C pawnshop that was victimized last Saturday morning by alleged members of the Dipolog-Ozamis-Parohinog robbery group.
The notorious robbery group looted from the pawnshop some P1 million worth of assorted jewelries and cash.
Bacolod City Police Officer (BCPO) Director Senior Supt. Edgardo Ordaniel believed that the Agencia Bacolod was hit by erring rugby boys not by organized robbery group.
“What they did is not the way Ozamis or Acetylene robbery group operates. It must be the rugby boys,” he said.
Ordaniel has ordered a round-the-clock mobile and foot patrols to intensify police’s visibility and hopefully prevent all forms of criminality. (PNA)
