Adarna House and AdMU to conduct conference on Filipino teaching

MANILA March 12 — The Adarna House and Ateneo de Manila University will conduct a conference regarding the teaching of Filipino from April 3 to 5 at the AdMU, Quezon City.

Themed “Wika ay Panitikan sa Silid-Aralan”, the conference aims to provide participants new knowledge in teaching Filipino for contemporary students.

Filipino teachers from the elementary and high school level from public and private schools are encouraged to join.

On the other hand, Ang Pampelikulang Samahan ng mga Dalubguro (PASADO) will conduct a seminar on the field of language and film from April 26 to 27 at the National Teachers College, Manila.

The event is themed “Ang Wikang Filipino, Pelikula at Midya sa Larangang Akademiko: Isang Gampanin ng Guro at Midya Kurikulum sa “K to 12”, Estratehiya at Metodolohiya”

The seminar aims to increase the awareness of teachers teaching Filipino language and literature in the development of consciousness Philippine local films.

It also aim to providing extensive information on the delegates contemporary issues in the curriculum of "K to 12" and to provide the delegates a wide information regarding contemporary issues in the curriculum of "K to 12".

It also aims to explain how film is an effective teaching alternative in teaching literature and language through their corresponding theories, methods and techniques.

Public and private school administrators from elementary, high school and college level are encouraged to join. (PNA)
