Cops release computerized facial composite sketch of suspects who shot Cainta Mayor's aide

MANILA, Mar. 4 — Cainta Police released Monday a composite sketch of suspects believed to be behind the shooting incident of the executive aide of Cainta Mayor Ramon Ilagan.
Police chief Supt. Carlito Briones identified the victim as Jaime De Leon, 62 years old and a resident of 22 Brazil St. Ciudad Grande, Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal.
According to the police report, the incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday night inside the Suburban Bowling Center, Maric Subdivision, Barangay Sto. Domingo, Cainta, Rizal.
De Leon was reportedly seated at one table while busy watching the bowling tournament when an unidentified man approached him and shot him at close range, hitting him at the neck.
Witnesses told police that after shooting De Leon the lone gunman fired another shot at the ceiling of the bowling lane prompting people inside to scamper into different directions.
Another man was seen waiting for the suspect outside the place of the incident. The suspects then fled towards A. Bonifacio on board a motorcycle.
Briones said in the computerized facial composite sketch of the two men, the suspect who shot De Leon was described to be about 5’3” to 5’4” in height, medium built, aged between 35 and 38 years old, and was wearing a grey sleeveless shirt and a denim short pants.
The other suspect was described to be standing about 5’4”, medium built, aged between 30 and 35 years old, and was wearing a bull cap, grey sweatshirt, and faded denim pants.
Both were said to be armed.
The police official said that at present the victim is under treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the province wherein tight security was provided by his relatives and personnel of Cainta PNP.
Briones added that Special Investigation Investigation Task Force Jam has been activated to lead the probe.
Briones said Ilagan has placed a P300,000 reward for informants who will be able to provide information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
