Mindanao university backs Villar’s senatorial bid

MANILA, Feb. 28 — The Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) -Parents Teachers Association and entire school community have manifested their “pledge of support” to the senatorial bid of former Las Pinas Rep. Cynthia Villar who is running under Team PNoy ticket.

In a resolution, MUST-PTA president Danilo Matias said Villar, currently ranked fourth in the latest Social Weather Station (SWS) survey, could provide avenue to magnify her capability to serve the poor, abused women and underprivileged children.

The association said Villar has been in the forefront in providing livelihood to poor families in the country of which thousands already benefited from her outstanding accomplishments.

Popularly known as “Misis Hanep Buhay”, Villar has established a total of 111 livelihood centers all over the country which provides jobs to poor families especially women.(PNA)
