Pangasinan SK to hold search for Mr and Ms. SK

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Feb. 27 Aiming to get more youth to be informed and involved with its mission and vision, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Pangasinan Provincial Federation will hold the very first search for Mr. and Ms. SK on April 28 which will not only be about beauty, figure, carriage and bearing but will also tackle SK advocacies.
The search is open to all interested 18-20-year old SK officers and members from the different cities and municipalities of the province who are able to qualify in the contests requirements. The SK Municipal Federation President must sign the entry form to certify that the candidate is truly a SK officer or member.
The interested females should have a height of at least 53 while males should be at least 55. The candidates should be at least high school graduates, single, and must have good physical attributes and excellent moral character.
In addition, any candidate must not be a major title holder of any beauty pageant in the national, regional or provincial level.
Those who are interested shall attend the registration and screening which will be on March 16, 2013 at 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Malong Conference Room, Malong Building, Capitol Compound in Lingayen where they should not wear/use any face/body makeup.
Documentary requirements include a registration form available in the screening venue, clear and certified photocopy of birth certificate, certificate of good moral character, and different pictures as full body shot, full close up, and a special photo.
The screening will choose only 12 males and 12 females to be the finalists in the pageant who will then bout in different areas of competition as production number, swimsuit ramp showdown, resort wear ramp showdown, and in the question and answer portion.
Top four male and female contestants will bag prizes that include Php10,000 and trophy and Php10,000 worth of project for the city/municipality (Mr. and Ms. SK Pangasinan 2013); Php7,000 each and trophy (first runner up); Php5,000 and trophy (second runner up); and Php3,000 each and trophy (third runner up). The non-winners, meanwhile will take home Php1,000 consolation prize. (PNA)
