Police concentrates on election duties after serving big events in Isabela

ILAGAN CITY, Feb. 25 — The Isabela Provincial Police Office (IPPO)will now fully-concentrate on election duties after majority of its police personnel provided security to big events that were recently conducted in the province.

The big events that were conducted in the province include the Bambanti Festival celebration, Unity Games of the Iglesia ni Cristo, the Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic (CAVRAA) meet, and the wake and burial of the late Isabela governor Benjamin G. Dy.

Senior Superintendent Franklin Moises Mabanag, IPPO chief, said the entire police force of Isabela in coordination with military and Commission on Elections (COMELEC), have already laid out security plans to ensure a peaceful and orderly mid-term elections.<P>the Isabela police and several police personnel from police stations provided security during the events and that these events were safely conducted without monitored and registered criminal activities.<P>Mabanag said our work now shifted fully on election duties after the activities held in Isabela.<P>During the big events, especially the Bambanti festival, police personnel were deployed to secure the different activities of the four-day festivities; provided security to unity games of athletes of Iglesia ni Cristo held at Isabela Sports complex, provided security to CAVRAA delegates and athletes; and just recently during the wake and burial of Isabela’s late governor that it had provided security.
