Light rains in Luzon, Eastern Visayas due to the northeast monsoon-PAGASA

MANILA, Feb. 25 — Light rains are expected in Luzon and Eastern Visayas as the northeast monsoon continues to affect the area, according to Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)on Monday.

In its advisory, Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Eastern Visayas will be partly cloudy with brief light rains.

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstormss.

The temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 23-32 degrees Celsius for Monday.

PAGASA also said strong to gale-force winds associated with the northeast monsoon may affect northern Luzon and eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas.

"Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves," it said. (PNA)
