(Lead) Cancelled domestic flights due to Crising increase to 31

MANILA, Feb. 19 – The number of cancelled domestic flights Tuesday due to tropical depression Crising rose to 31 after Cebu Pacific and Air Phil Express suspended six and two more flights, respectively.

Based on the latest media advisory of the Manila International Airport Authority, Cebu Pacific also cancelled its two round-trip flights 5Js 703-704 from Manila to Dipolog and 5Js 887-888 Manila-Cotabato.

Cebu Pacific flight 5J 328 from Legaspi to Manila and 5J 386 from Cagayan to Manila have also been cancelled, bringing the number of its cancelled flights to 17 Tuesday.

Earlier, Cebu Pacific , the country’s premier budget airlines, cancelled five round-trip flights and a flight 5J 382 from Cagayan de Oro to Manila.

The Cebu Pacific’s cancelled round-trip flights 5Js 771-772 from Manila to Pagadian; 5Js 617-618 Manila-Tagbilaran; 5Js 625-626 Manila-Dumaguete; and, 5Js 383-384 and 395-396 Manila-Cagayan.

The number of cancelled flights of Air Phil Express increased to eight after suspending another round-trip flights 2Ps 065-066 Manila-Surigao.

Air Phil Express has earlier aborted its round-trip flights 2P 959-960 from Manila to Cotabato; 2Ps 545-546 Manila-Dumaguete; and 2Ps 939-940 from Manila to Ozamis.

Zest Airlines also cancelled its round-trip flights Z2 350-351 from Manila to Tagbilaran.

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines also suspended two round-trip flights PR 173-174 and PR 175-176 from Manila to Tagbilaran. (PNA)
