PNP improves services for pensioners

MANILA, Feb. 6 — The Philippine National Police Finance Service (PNP FS) has set new procedures in claiming pension payment or checks for retired police personnel, pensioners and survivors.
PNP FS Director, Police Chief Superintendent Rolando A. Purugganan said that effective on March 2013, all PNP and Integrated National Police (INP) pension checks, specifically those from National Capital Region and Region 4A (CALABARZON), will be forwarded to their respective Regional Finance Service Offices for its orderly distribution.
“PNP pensioners from NCR, Region 4A and those who have requested a pick-up of pension checks with Finance Service may proceed to PNP Pension and Retirement Benefit Service (PRBS) for updating or changing of address” Purugganan added.
Purugganan also said that starting on March 2013 all pension checks will be forwarded to the respective regions and districts (for NCR pensioners) based on the address appearing on the monthly pension checks of the PNP retirees.
“This is part of the system innovations of the Finance Service on its continuous drive to provide best practices on the delivery of the PNP’s financial obligations to all PNP personnel and retired members” Purugganan said. (PNA)
