MANILA, Jan. 14 — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Monday the tail-end of a cold font continued affecting Eastern Visayas while the northeast monsoon swept Eastern Luzon.

In its 5 p.m. advisory, PAGASA said Eastern and Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao and Caraga region will have cloudy skies with occasional light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms.

The Bicol region, Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora, Quezon and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with occasional light rains, it said.

The weather agency said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.

PAGASA also issued a gale warning as gale force winds are expected to affect the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Southern Luzon.

"Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves," PAGASA said. (PNA)
