PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Dec. 30 -– Some 20 passengers of the RoRo Bus Line were seriously injured when the bus they were riding in skidded Saturday night along the highway in Bataraza town.

Thirteen of the passengers were immediately rushed to the nearby RTN Hospital inside the Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) in Barangay Rio Tuba, Bataraza, while six others were brought to the Southern Palawan Provincial Hospital (SPPH) in Brooke’s Point.

Witnesses said the bus, which came from Puerto Princesa enroute to Bataraza town was over speeding at about 7:45 p.m. when it skidded on the road in Sitio Narra-Narra, Barangay Rio Tuba in the southern town of Bataraza.

Passengers interviewed by traffic policemen that responded to the incident, said the driver was carelessly maneuvering the bus at high speed when skidded and crashed.

Investigations were still ongoing regarding the incident, while many passengers have already filed their complaints against the bus company. (PNA)
