MANILA, Dec. 24 – Cebu Pacific Airlines cancelled four flights on Monday due to bad weather after a low-pressure area (LPA) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The cancelled flights were the round-trip flight 5J 196 and 5J 197 from Manila to Cauayan and another round-trip flight 5J 504 and 5J 505 from Manila to Tuguegarao.

In a post in its Twitter account, Cebu Pacific said the affected passengers would be accommodated on the next available flights.

”We always place the safety of our passengers on top priority," Cebu Pacific said.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the LPA will bring rains over eastern Visayas and Mindanao.

However, the weather bureau said the LPA has a small chance to turn into a tropical cyclone though it keeps on monitoring the weather disturbance. (PNA)
