DSWD earmarked P2.67M livelihood assistance for 350 CCT beneficiaries in Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY, Nov. 24 — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has earmarked P2.63m livelihood fund for 350 beneficiaries of the conditional cash transfer (CCT) program in 18 villages to be released on December.

The fund was under the Sustainable Livelihood Program- Self Employment Assistance Kaunlaran (SLP-SEAK), a community-based capacity building program that aimed to improve the socio-economic status of the recipients.

The beneficiaries belong to the Set 1 of the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program whose cash grant was slated to end in 2014.

Meantime, an additional 350 Pantawid beneficiaries are expected to receive their livelihood support in the first quarter of next year. The amount allotted for 1, 452 beneficiaries was around P10.89 million.(PNA)
