Hunt will continue for remaining Maguindanao massacre suspects –PNP

MANILA, Nov. 23 — The hunt for the remaining 92 suspects in the Nov. 23, 2009 "Maguindanao Massacre" will continue until all the gunmen and the mastermind are behind bars, Philippine National Police spokesperson Chief Supt. Generoso Cerbo Jr. said on Friday.

"The hunt for them will continue until they (92 suspects) are all accounted for," he stressed.

Fifty-eight persons, including 37 media practitioners, were killed by henchmen of the Ampatuan clan in what international experts said was the worst incident of election-related violence in the Philippines.

As of the moment, around 103 suspects in the infamous massacre case are behind bars and undergoing trial.

They include Datu Akmad “Toto” Ampatuan Sr., Datu Andal Ampatuan Sr., Datu Anwar Ampatuan, Datu Sajidb Ampatuan, Datu Zaldy “Puti” Ampatuan, Esmael Canapia, Takpan Dilon, Datu Andal “Unsay” Ampatuan, and Datu Anwar Upam Ampatuan. (PNA)
