MANILA, Nov. 23 – The Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine Navy intercepted this week more than 100 drums of fuel oil in a Zamboanga City dock.

The vessel carrying the fuel was captured by PCG and Navy elements as it was about to unload its cargo at Petrolin Marketing Inc. Wharf in Baliwasan Seaside, Zamboanga City.

The fuel was believed to be smuggled from Sabah to Mindanao.

"It was revealed that the wooden-hulled M/L Princess Rohanna II was intercepted while intending to unload smuggled fuel oil to buyers/businessmen," the PCG said.

The M/L Princess Rohanna II, a 65.78-gross ton passenger/cargo vessel with business address at Mapun, Tawi-Tawi, is owned and operated by Benson Sadjiril. (PNA)
