SAMAL, Bataan, Nov. 22 — The PhilHealth Mobile Orientation, Validation and Enrollment Scheme (MOVES) was recently launched in this town in an effort to bring health services at the local level.

The initiative was part of the government's target to fully implement PhilHealth MOVES in the region this month.

PhilHealth MOVES is an integrated marketing approach which specifically targets beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

A total of 700 indigents in this municipality benefited from the program launching that was led by town mayor Gene dela Fuente, together with some local and PhilHealth officials.

The beneficiaries were identified through the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR).

The program supports the national government's vision of making health services accessible to all Filipinos through financial protection from their hospitalization needs, dela Fuente said.

At the same time, the program will guide the members on the procedures and on the processes of availing PhilHealth benefits and privileges.

The Philhealth MOVES was earlier launched in Porac, Pampanga, Gerona, Tarlac, Balanga City, Bataan and San Antonio, Zambales.(PNA)
