17 flights diverted due to NAIA’s navigation problem

MANILA, Oct. 9 – Five international and 12 domestic flights have been diverted after the air traffic facility of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) encountered problem Tuesday.

Four of the international flights were diverted to Clark International Airport in Pampanga. These were Asiana Airlines flight OZ 701 from Incheon, South Korea; Thai Airways flight TG 620 from Bangkok; China Southern Airlines CZ 3091 from Canada; and Philippine Airlines PR 467 from Incheon.

Zest Airways flight 885 from Incheon was diverted to Cebu-Mactan International Airport.

PAL’s domestic flight PR 142 from Iloilo along with 10 other domestic flights of Cebu Pacific and AirPhil Express have been forced to land at the Clark airport while flight PR 196 from Puerto Princesa has been diverted to Iloilo. (PNA)
