Kalivungan Festival kicks off Aug. 24 in North Cotabato

DAVAO CITY, Aug. 20 -– This year’s annual Kalivungan Festival will officially kick off Amas, Kidapawan on Aug. 24 in celebration of the 98th Foundation Anniversary of Cotabato Province.

“This will be the biggest in the province of Cotabato with 41 events and some of these are farm out in the municipalities,” according to Gov. Emmylou “Lala” Talino-Mendoza in an interview by this writer.

She said the festival will start off with the Thanksgiving Mass at the capitol followed by the opening of the Market-Market sa Kapitolyo.

Meanwhile, the second Gov. Lala Taliño-Mendoza Table Tennis Cup, however, was already played earlier last Aug. 18-19.

The other sports events are 3rd Gov.
