“Red alert” is still up at La Mesa Dam in Novaliches, Quezon City as its water elevation reaches the spilling level of 80.15 meters as of noon Monday (August 6, 2012) as a result of moderate to heavy monsoon rains in Luzon, including Metro Manila. The red alert in the dam has been up since last week. Residents living along the Tullahan River, where water from La Mesa Dam spills, have been advised to be vigilant against flooding. I live in Lagro Subd, Novaliches, Q.C where the La Mesa Dam is located. I heard there is a crack in the Dam. Will our place be affected if by chance the crack will be big enough to cause spill over?
